David Hockney passed away this month at 88.

His photo-collage series used still photographs to examine and sculpt the hidden moments in time.

He created approximately 35,000 individual works of art over his lifetime.

We've always invented ways to make invisible time visible.

It's made of 365 stones.

On the equinoxes the noon-day sun reaches through the window and across the floor inside.

Korea's first reigning queen commissioned its construction sometime between 632-647 to observe the moon and stars.

The full moon Queen Seondeok saw 1,400 years ago is the same one passing over us now.

Cheomseongdae is one of the world's oldest surviving observatories.

This is the director of the Seocho i-Zone, a child therapy center in Seoul, one of twelve i-Zones across the metropolis.

It's a place where children and their families spend a year working through emotional and behavioral challenges together.

The director told me what he's most excited about isn't the clock itself, but what it might offer families.

A sense of scale.

When a child begins working with the center, the year ahead is hard to picture.

The Present makes it visible.

And when the work is done, it marks how far they came together.

A way to see the time you're about to share, and the time you shared.
